Create A Screening Room

Understanding Screening Rooms

A Screening Room is a secure, presentation-focused destination that brings together selected media from one or more Projects across your Organization’s library.

Screening Rooms provide invited Reviewers with a polished, theatre-like experience for browsing and watching curated content. They work especially well for presenting collections of films, episodes, titles, campaigns, or other related media in one place.

Why use a ScreenKey Screening Room?

A ScreenKey Screening Room combines a polished viewing experience with the organization, permissions, and security controls of your wider media library.

Instead of creating separate screening links for each Project, you can bring selected media together in one secure destination. This gives your audience a simple way to explore the content while your team retains control over access and presentation.

When should I use a Screening Room?

Use a Screening Room when you want to:

  • Present media from multiple Projects in one destination
  • Create a curated catalogue or collection to support Sales/Distribution
  • Showcase several films, episodes, or titles
  • Organize media around a campaign, event, or audience
  • Give press, buyers, distributors, awards voters, or other stakeholders a dedicated viewing destination
  • Provide Reviewers with a polished way to browse selected content across your Organization

Do I need a Screening Room to share a Project?

No- You can share an individual Project directly from its Sharing tab.

Screening Rooms are most useful when you want to curate and present media from multiple Projects in one unified viewing destination.

If you only need to share one Project, inviting Reviewers from the Project’s Sharing tab is usually the simplest option.

QUICK TIP: Think of a Project as the place where media is organized and shared. A Screening Room is a curated destination that can feature media from multiple Projects.

Screening Room Security and Permissions

Projects added to a Screening Room retain their existing Project-level security settings, such as DRM, watermarks, and feedback, and cannot be changed for the Screening Room as a whole.

At the Screening Room level, you can:

  • Select which Projects and media are featured
  • Invite and manage Reviewers, Groups or Audiences
  • Define and restrict  Reviewers/Groups  access to specific Project assets contained within the screening Room
  • Set the Screening Room’s access window

IMPORTANT: Before adding a Project to a Screening Room, confirm that its security settings are appropriate for the intended audience. Any Project-level protections remain in effect when its media appears in the Screening Room.
